Your Single-Source
Layout Authority

One team. One model. One source of truth. Lightrange eliminates compounding layout errors by providing unified survey control, multi-trade layout, and as-built verification from a single coordinated BIM model.

On typical projects, each trade brings their own layout crew, interprets the model differently, and works from inconsistent control. Deviations compound silently through sequential trades until something doesn\'t fit.

Lightrange breaks this chain. We establish your survey control, lay out every trade from a single coordinated model, and verify as-builts after each major scope — feeding that data back so the next trade builds to reality, not design.

One point of accountability. Zero finger-pointing between trades. Zero compounding errors.

Four Service Lines. One Continuous Chain.
Control the site → lay out every trade → verify what was built → feed corrections forward.

Project Survey Control

Establish, maintain, and verify the primary survey control network throughout the entire construction lifecycle. We become the custodian of positional truth for your project — from first monument to final as-built.

Multi-Trade Layout Coordination

Single team, single model, single control network. We extract layout points for every trade from one coordinated BIM model and lay them out from verified control — ensuring each trade starts from the same source of truth.

As-Built Verification

After each major trade completes work, we verify as-built positions against design, document deviations with pass/fail tolerance assessments, and feed as-built data back to the coordination model for downstream trades.

What’s the specified tolerance for the curtain wall anchor brackets on Level 14?
LR

Per the approved structural drawing S-414 Rev. C and specification section 08 44 13 §3.4.2, the curtain wall anchor brackets on Level 14 require ±3mm horizontal and ±5mm vertical from design position. Note: the structural engineer issued RFI-287 on Feb 3 revising the south elevation brackets to ±6mm vertical due to the as-built slab deviation documented in Lightrange deviation report DR-L14-003.

LR

Lightrange as-built survey AB-L14-20260201 measured the south slab edge at gridline J at +8mm east, -4mm elevation from design. This deviation was flagged in DR-L14-003 and the curtain wall subcontractor confirmed adjusted bracket positions in their revised shop drawing CW-SD-14S Rev. 2.

    All Approved Drawings Loaded

Architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and all applicable discipline drawings are indexed and searchable. Ask about any detail, any level, any trade.

  • 📋

    Specification & Standards Reference

Project specifications, CSA/ACI/AISC tolerances, RFI responses, and approved submittals are all part of the project knowledge base. Instant answers to tolerance questions in the field.

  • 📊

    Live As-Built Data

Lightrange deviation reports and as-built survey data feed directly into the model. The AI knows what was designed AND what was actually built.

  • 🔗

    Cross-Discipline Coordination

Ask how a concrete deviation on Level 8 affects the curtain wall brackets on Level 22. The AI traces the impact chain across trades and levels.

  • 🔒

    Project-Specific & Secure

Each project gets its own isolated AI environment. Your data stays within your project. Built on Anthropic’s Claude platform with enterprise-grade data handling.

From Model to Field to Verified Reality
1

Establish Control

We set up and verify the project survey control network from legal monuments, tied to BC geodetic datum.

2

Coordinate & Extract

Layout points for every trade are extracted from a single coordinated BIM model. One model, one truth.

3

Lay Out & Build

Robotic total station lays out all trades from verified control. Each crew starts from the same precise baseline.

4

Verify & Feed Forward

As-built positions are captured, compared to design, and fed back to the model. The next trade adjusts to reality.
